Description

A lovely Ottoman First World War period tobacco jar, crafted from a Krupp German shell case. The inner lid has been decorated with an Ottoman silver 20 kurus coin dated circa 1909, carefully mounted to the centre. A charming piece of trench or battlefield art that reflects the resourcefulness of the period.
